:: Can We Impeach Her Yet?

Palin at a town hall meeting in Waukesha, Wisconsin.It's not a secret that Sarah Palin has no class. She's unabashedly lied about her record as governor and about her opponents time and again, even after called out on falsehoods.
I especially enjoyed when she explained that in fact she wasn't having a hard-time answering what she now admits were fair questions from a journalist, but that she didn't give them much thought because Katie Couric annoyed her during the interview. Apparently she feels arrogance is more desirable than unpreparedness.
You would think she'd bottom out with the just-released bi-partisan report that she abused her power as Governor of Alaska to try and get her ex brother-in-law fired due to a family feud.
[Lead investigator] Mr. Branchflower, who based his report on interviews, emails and other records, said Gov. Palin violated Alaska's Ethics Act. The statute is meant to "discourage executive branch employees from acting under personal interests in the performance of their public responsibilities," he said.
But Mrs. Palin doesn't see it that way, soon after releasing a statement that the report "vindicated" her since she didn't violate the law, only ethics standards. An interesting view.
However, this isn't the most morbidly ironic, nor patently bizarre thing about Governor Palin. Her long-lasting and hearty support for the radical right-wing Alaska Independence Party (AIP) -- a group that wishes to succeed from the "evil" USA. -- is pretty damned alarming. Especially since the AIP has been supported in the past by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Yes, Iran. But that hasn't dissuaded Palin from actively supporting them for over a decade.
Yet it's still not the worst thing Sarah Palin has done in her distinguished career in national politics -- dating back an entire six weeks so far. Unwilling to ever admit a mistake, she continues the farce of implying Senator Obama is a terrorist for having loose ties with a guy who blew up a statue in protest nearly forty years ago.
And the seeds of fear, hatred and race-bating that Palin has sewn, have reaped quite a disturbing harvest. One can only wonder what she's hoping for.
And as she continues to gather the pitchforks and torches, her crusade for inciting hatred in the rallies she conducts apparently can't even be stopped by her boss. Even when he has to defend Obama at his own McCain rally:
So I really wish Mrs. Palin would please. just. stop. She's a disgrace to this country and a disgrace to women.

What I find most disturbing is that
1) Palin has a degree in journalism and worked at a TV station but can't withstand simple questioning by the news media;
2) the Republicans (until McCain put a lid on it today) have been going overboard with the politics of fear and hatred- I don't want to live in that sort of Country, or in one where people are so easily swayed by bitter and false soundbites.
