Kim Mance is a writer and creative based in New York. She recently co-hosted Travel Channel's Destination Showdown as an expert judge, and also hosted NCC Media's show, Dream It. Book It. Do It! In addition, she's written for outlets like Condé Nast TravelerMarie ClaireWorldHum, and Huffington Post.

Kim regularly appears as a travel and social justice expert on many national and local television outlets like CNN, ABC News, Al Jazeera America, FOX News, NPR, Katie, CBS New York, the Sundance Channel, Anderson Live, Good Day Street Talk on Fox NYC, Better TV, and has been a panelist on PBS'The Mclaughlin Group. Magazines like CosmopolitanWoman's DayParents, and Self also frequently chat with Kim about various lifestyle and travel topics.

One of Kim's essays is included in Leave the Lipstick, Take the Iguana, a collection of humorous travel stories (Solas House, 2012). Some of her other writing has been featured in publications that include AlterNet, Babble, and the Women's Policy Journal of Harvard (pdf).

In 2008, Kim founded the TBEX community of travel bloggers, journalists and travel professionals, which became a definitive online hub. Its popular annual conferences in North America and Europe were recently acquired by New Media Expo, and she remains an advisor.
